Iraq's capitol and its suburbs witnessed several terrorist attacks that resulted in hundreds of victims on Monday.
Over 50 people were killed and more than a hundred injured in car explosives and bombs targeting numerous areas in Baghdad, Reuters news agency cited medical and security sources as saying.
A wired car exploded near a security checkpoint, yet no injuries among the security forces were recorded.
On this note, a state of alertness and abruptness was declared, and cars were banned from being parked on the street.
Another explosion by a wired car occurred in new Baghdad area, killing a civilian and injuring 10 others, but security forces were able to apprehend the culprit who parked the wired car.
Likewise, a third explosion took place in al-Orouba square in al-Kazimiyah, while a fourth car exploded in Sabaa al-Bour, and a fifth explosion in al-Baiyaa, as well as a sixth explosion in al-Maalef were recorded.
