Netanyahu To Int’l Community: Don’t Lessen Pressure on Iran

"Israeli" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday urged not to lessen international pressure on Iran regarding its peaceful nuclear program following the election of the new Iranian President Sheikh Hassan Rouhani.

"The international community must not give in to wishful thinking or temptation and loosen the pressure on Iran for it to stop its nuclear program," Netanyahu told his cabinet.

"The greater the pressure on Iran, the greater the chance of bringing a halt to the Iranian nuclear program," Netanyahu stated.

Moreover, Netanyahu noted Iran's nuclear program must be stopped "by any means".

One of Rouhani's main election pledges was to try to ease international sanctions imposed on Iran.
