Amal Movement Condems Killing of Hizbullah Leader Moghnieh

The Amal Movement issued a statement on Wednesday condemning "the coward crime that led to the martyrdom of one of the first resistance fighters against the "Israeli" aggression and occupation, leader Hajj Imad Moghnieh." The statement added, "The Amal Movement offers sincere condolences to Hizbullah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah and to brothers of arms in Hizbullah and the Islamic resistance, as it announces the martyrdom of this outstanding leader (Mujahid) who was one of the founders of the resistance against the "Israeli" occupation in the south of Lebanon and one of the makers of the liberation and victory achieved by the resistance of our people against the occupation during the liberation war and the legendary confrontation of "Israeli" wars against Lebanon, the last of which was the July aggression in 2006." The statement concluded, "The Amal Movement calls on Lebanese on this occasion to strengthen their unity to face Lebanon's main enemy "Israel", which is accused of carrying out this heinous crime. The Movement also calls on the Lebanese to assume their patriotic responsibility especially at this political moment in which our enemies are seeking to target our people and our country."
