Hizbullah Condemns Brutal Murder of Sheikh Shehata in Egypt

Commenting on the crime committed in Egypt against a group of citizens and which led to the martyrdom of Sheikh Hassan Shehata and a number of other people, Hizbullah issued the following statement:

The ongoing slander campaign led by extremists and foreign puppeteers led to a heinous crime which targeted a gathering of Shiite Muslims in the Giza governorate, and led to the murder of the scholar Sheikh Hassan Shahata and a number of believers.

This heinous crime never agrees with the open nature of the Egyptians, and the culture of tolerance, moderation and diversity that characterizes dear Egypt.

As Hizbullah condemned this heinous crime that Egypt had never witnessed before, it warned of the expansion of this Takfiri wave that is sweeping our nation.
It further accused certain countries, institutions, sheikhs and personalities of working under a malignant scheme to spread the fire of sedition.

In parallel, Hizbullah urged the Egyptian authorities to take the necessary measures to bring the criminals before justice so that they would receive their comeuppance.
It also called the Egyptian society and lively forces, to exert all their efforts to curb the phenomenon of extremism and protect all citizens of all affiliations from being assaulted because of their religious beliefs, that are guaranteed by laws of the sky and land.
