Vice-President of the Higher Islamic Shiite Council, Sheikh Abdel Amir Qabalan congratulated all Muslims on the coming of Eid al-Fitr, praying Allah to preserve the Ummah and unite it.
"We in Lebanon should be united, cooperative, loving, and should reject hatred, bigotry and violence and rebuild what has been destroyed... to find solutions to crises and problems," he said.
Earlier on Thursday, Qabalan considered it essential Thursday to maintain lines of communication open between Lebanese leaders and urged them to return to dialogue.
He also condemned the Israeli aggression on the region of Labboune yesterday, noting that the Lebanese should focus on their union, their army and their resistance to save their country.
