Britain Denounces ’Israeli’ Settlement Construction

Britain's Foreign Office Minister, Alastair Burt, denounced the recent "Israeli" government decision to construct 1096 units for "Israeli" settlers in the occupied West Bank, and in occupied al-Quds.

In a press release, Burt stated that Britain denounces the "Israeli" plan that includes 63 units in al-Quds, adding that settlements are illegal under International Law.

"The United Kingdom urges "Israel" to void its decision, we must focus on resuming direct peace talks that will start August 14," he believed.

There are more than 120 "Israeli" settlements in the occupied West Bank and occupied al-Quds.

The construction of settlement units is considered a move of provocation against Palestinians, whose houses and lands are constantly being relocated and confiscated so the settlement construction would be complete.

The illegal settlements cut through Palestinian territories, isolating large areas as it crosses the occupied West Bank and "Israel's" apartheid wall, and snatching many acres of lands belonging to Palestinians.
