The Lebanese Interior Minister Marwan Charbel denounced the kidnap of the Turkish citizens on Friday on Lebanese lands, pointing out that this is what he told the Turkish Ambassador to Lebanon on Saturday.
"We talked about protecting Turks in Lebanon, because we are compelled to protect everyone, even Lebanese," the Interior Minister stated.

Charbel further stressed that Lebanon is against kidnapping and refused the mentality of exchanging the abducted Turks in return for the abducted Lebanese pilgrims in Syria.
"We, as a Lebanese government, are working with all our power to liberate them, and we hope that every person that influences the release of the 9 abducted Lebanese in Aazaz, including the Turkish government, to help us with our thanks," Minister Marwan Charbel said.
