12 Security Men Killed In Iraq Attacks

Militiamen killed 12 policemen and soldiers as a truck bomb hit a port in Iraq on Saturday.
On this note, Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki has vowed to move forward in the campaign against militants in Iraq's worst violence since 2008 and the interior ministry's spokesman announced a senior al-Qaeda-linked militant was killed.
Gunmen opened fire on an army post in the town of Madain southeast of Baghdad, which resulted in the death of five soldiers and the injury of three others.
North of Baghdad, militants killed four policemen near the city of Tikrit, and killed three soldiers in the Muqdadiyah area of Diyala province also North of Baghdad.

Attacks have killed more than 3,480 people since the beginning of 2013, according to figures compiled by Agence France Presse.
Iraq has been witnessing bombs killing innocent civilians across the country for months, with the death toll reaching more than 800 in attacks during the holy month of Ramadan, the deadliest Ramadan in years.
Last week, blasts killed almost 60 people and wounded more than 150 on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
