’Israel’ Forms Association to Build Synagogue in Al-Aqsa Mosque

Al-Aqsa Foundation for Waqf and Heritage revealed that Zionist groups and rabbis are trying to persuade "Israeli" authorities to join an official association aiming at building a synagogue on a part of al-Aqsa Mosque.

Al-Aqsa Foundation published a photo showing that the Jewish groups want to build the proposed synagogue in the southeastern side of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Foundation described in a press statement on Sunday this scheme as "very dangerous", reiterating that occupation forces have escalated their targeting of al-Aqsa Mosque.

Moreover, founders of the "Israeli" association indicated that thousands of Jews called for the establishment of a small synagogue in al-Aqsa Mosque, and later be expanded into a large one.

Organizers of the Association said that such a synagogue "will be a symbol of the real "Israeli" control over the Al-Aqsa Mosque."

Al-Aqsa Foundation for Waqf and Heritage in this regards called on the Islamic nation to save al-Aqsa Mosque from "Israeli" schemes.

Al-Aqsa mosque is considered the most important landmark in Islam's history, since it is the first direction of prayers for Muslims before the Kaabeh in Holy Mecca.
