’Israeli’ Delegation in US, Amman Hosts Joint Military Conference
Local Editor
US national security adviser Susan Rice hosted Monday an "Israeli" delegation led by Yaakov Amidror, the chairman of "Israel's" so-called National Security Council.
According to the "Israeli" Ynet daily, the meetings were part of a series of regular high-level bilateral consultations and touched on Iran, Egypt, Syria, and other regional security issues, the White House said.
It further revealed that the members of the "Israeli" delegation included War Ministry official Amos Gilad, Head of the "Israeli" Army Planning Division Maj.-Gen. Nimrod Sheffer and head of research at the Military Intelligence Brigadier General Itay Baron.
Meanwhile, "Israel" estimated that the probability being part of Syrian attack is dependent on a possible US intervention in Syria.
For its part, debkafile uncovered that ten military chiefs began a two-day conference in Amman Monday to discuss joint action.
"The emergency meeting is co-hosted by US chief of staff Gen. Martin Dempsey and Jordan's top soldier Meshaal Mohamed al-Zaban. Present too are the top commanders of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, Britain, France, Germany, Italy and Canada," it stated.
Earlier, a Syrian official spokesman warned Monday that the Zionist entity would be held responsible for any attack on his country and be treated accordingly.
He said that Syria had strategic weapons pointing at "Israel" and that country and other parts of the Middle East would go up in a ball of fire.
