Millions have attended nationwide demonstrations in Iran to mark the 35th anniversary of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
On Tuesday, Iran witnessed nationwide demonstrations in celebration of the victory that put an end to the monarchical rule of the US-backed Pahlavi regime.
The demonstrators attended the rallies to reaffirm their allegiance to the ideals of the Islamic Revolution and Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic.
The Nationwide rallies marking the 35th victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution concluded on Tuesday after issuing a statement in support of revolutionary forces and safeguarding the country's national security.
The statement underlined that any foolish and provocative act by the enemies will receive timely and crushing reaction of Iranian armed forces.
Iranian nation under wise leadership of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei could successfully conquer all challenges and crisis, read the statement.
On nuclear talks with the G5+1, the statement said the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns ˈimpolite and unfoundedˈ threats of some US officials, who claim that ˈAll options are on the tableˈ. The clause of the statement said the US claims run counter to the spirit of the Geneva talks and underlined the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program. It also advised adopting the strategy of ˈThreat against Threatˈ in dealing with the provocative act of the enemies.
The statement also invited close cooperation between the three branches of government in dealing with the economic, cultural and social issues.
The country's scientific success is the manifestation of Iran's development, underlined the statement.
"The unified Iranian nation also strongly condemns the plots hatched by the big powers that seek to sow seeds of discord among countries in the Middle East region," it said.
The day, the 22nd of the month of Bahman on the solar calendar, coincides with a definitive end to the rule of the monarchical Pahlavi regime and thus an end to the 2,500 years of monarchical rule in the country.
The Islamic Revolution, under the leadership of Imam Khomeini, established a new political system based on Islamic values and democracy.
On Monday night, fireworks and colorful illuminations brightened the nights of many Iranian cities on the eve of the demonstrations on the 22nd of Bahman (February 11).
The demonstrations were also joined by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, who delivered a speech on the occasion, as well as Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.
Asked what was the main message of the Iranian nation today to the outside world, Zarif said the main message is that these people are supportive of their government and their revolution, that they stand behind their rights, that nobody can deprive them of their rights, that these people deserve respect and demand respect and nobody can deal with them in any way other than respect," according to Press TV.
Asked what would be the impact of the millions-strong presence of people on the streets in support of the Islamic Revolution on the nuclear talks, the Iranian foreign minister said, "It encourages us to continue to insist on the rights of these people and, at the same time, to try to remove all obstacles to constructive interaction with the rest of the world...."
