Kerry to Meet with Abbas for Talks in Jordan

US Secretary of State John Kerry is scheduled to start a two-day visit to Jordan where he will meet with Palestinian Authority chief Mahmoud Abbas for talks on Wednesday.
Abbas and Kerry are scheduled to discuss the currently suspended Palestinian-"Israeli" so-called peace talks, the ongoing unity talks between Hamas and Fatah, and the expected unity government, among other issues, according to the Jordanian daily newspaper al-Arab al-Yawm on Sunday.
Asked whether Kerry would leave Jordan to the occupied territories for a meeting with Zionist premier Netanyahu, the Jordanian official said that, "preparations have been made so far for a visit to Amman, and any changes to the visit plans would be dependent on Kerry's meeting with chief Abbas."
Kerry will also meet with Jordanian officials, a Jordanian official was quoted as saying.
Abbas received a phone call on Sunday from Kerry, during which they discussed the Palestinian unity government and the future of the Middle East peace process.
The meeting comes in just over a month after US-led "Israeli"-Palestinian "peace" negotiations fell apart due to continued Zionist settlement construction and "Israel's" refusal to release a fourth group of Palestinian prisoners as it previously promised.
