Iran and the P5+1 countries are to meet for a fifth round of nuclear talks in the Austrian city of Vienna on June 16, with a view on working out a comprehensive agreement over Iran's nuclear program.
US Deputy Secretary of State William J. Burns will join Undersecretary of State Wendy R. Sherman, the chief negotiator, at the planned five-day meeting in Vienna, the US State Department announced on Sunday.
Burns will sit in on several key meetings on Monday, including a planned three-way session with Iran, the US, and the European Union [EU].
The talks are expected to go on until Friday.
Iran and the P5+1 countries- the US, Britain, France, Russia, China- and Germany have set a July 20 deadline to reach a comprehensive agreement in an interim deal they reached in the Swiss city of Geneva in November 2013.
