Hizbullah Silent on Retaliation Plans

Newspapers on Tuesday focused on the aftermath of the "Israeli" aggression in Qunaitra, where eyes are set on how will the resistance respond to the blatant Zionist aggression, at the time "Israel" plunges in fear, unable to anticipate what the inevitable response of Hizbullah might be.
As-Safir newspaper wrote "it's the fourth time Abu Imad and Om Imad [father and mother of Imad Moghnieh] stand to receive condolences and congratulations on the martyrdom of one of their beloved ones. Imad Moghnieh's son, Jihad, was laid to rest on Monday in the Martyrs cemetery in the Southern Suburb of Beirut [Dahiyeh].
The paper highlighted the ‘unusual' phone call of Prime Minister Tammam Salam to the Political aide of Hizbullah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah through which he offred his condolences on his and the cabinet's behalf to the Hizbullah leadership.
The paper further wondered what kind of response will Hizbullah conduct in terms of place, timing and nature, noting that the resistance has the right to respond inside the Golan Heights, especially that the 6 Hizbullah martyrs were targeted there by "Israel".
Al-Akhbar newspaper for its part pointed out that "everyone awaits the response to be carried out by Hizbullah," adding "While the "Israeli" enemy lives moments of tension and fear to what the resistance might respond, the resistance people live moments of anticipation and readiness to carry responsibility of any outcome to the response against the enemy."
The paper underscored that at the time Lebanon was holding the funeral of Jihad Moghnieh, Iran officially declared that its Revolutionary Guards General [who was a military consultant to the Syrian government] was martyred in the aggression as well.
The paper added that "Israeli" official sources remained silent on the matter, in order not to raise the level of accusations. Yet, Zionist media sources could not but mention the levels of tension in the settlements, with a state of nervousness prevailing among the "Israeli" reporters and correspondents who kept delaying incorrect information even in the first hours after the attack.
Also, according to al-Akhbar, Monday recorded the highest level of military and security alert, majorly in the areas of the Golan and its outskirts, in addition to strict measures imposed on the settlers to prevent Hizbullah from abducting anyone.
Al-Jomhouriya newspaper for its part, said that the talk about Lebanon entering a new phase after the Qunaitra aggression is exaggeration; especially that the major players do not find any good in starting an open confrontation which can turn things upside down.
The paper further accentuated that all await the stance of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, who might deliver a speech on the week-memory of the martyrs, at the time "Israel" sinks in silence and raises the level of attentiveness, remaining alert on how the resistance might respond.
On another note, Speaker Nabih Berri warned on Tuesday offenders in the Bekaa valley that they will eventually have no choice but to hand themselves over to security forces, flee the country or face death ahead of the implementation of a security plan in the area.
The speaker stressed that the implementation of the security plan this time will not be like its predecessors, stressing that the security forces will remain deployed in the area until all violators are apprehended.
"The Bekaa will not remain a safe haven for fugitives, who are compelled to hand themselves over to security forces, flee the country, or head to the grave," Berri was quoted as saying by his visitors in comments published in al-Joumhouria newspaper.
"No one will be covered," Berri stressed, pointing out that the residents of the Bekaa will benefit from the security plan as the violators are harming them.
He also pointed out that the security plans implemented across the country should be accompanied with "development projects, in particular in the Bekaa and (the northern district of) Akkar."
