Newspapers on Thursday emphasized the importance of the security plan which kicked off on earlier on Tuesday in Beirut's Southern Suburbs, and shed light on the situation at the Lebanese-Syrian borders in light of news on a new battle to begin in al-Qalamoun. Also, papers touched on the major changes made by Saudi king Salman Abdul Aziz related to many important posts in the government.
Qalamoun Decisive Battle to Secure Lebanon from Extremism --- AS-SAFIR
As-Safir newspaper wrote on Thursday that Hizbullah seems to have prepared plans to hit the terrorist armed groups spread in the outskirts at the borders, where a decisive battle is expected to take place. Well-informed sources told the newspaper that the preparation for the Qalamoun battle is almost ready, adding "What we can assure is that the battle is near to happen."
The sources, which noted that Hizbullah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah had clearly stated that the battle will take place, assured that this battle is mainly concerned with the well-being and security of Lebanon and the resistance and is not in response to the latest collapse of some Syrian areas in the hands of the terrorist groups.
The aim of this battle, according to sources, is to safeguard the towns at the borders from the imminent threat of the takfiri groups and improve the security status at both sides of the Lebanese-Syrian borders.
Evaluating Situation at Borders --- AL-BINAA
Well-informed sources told al-Binaa newspaper that the Syrian-Iran-Resistance alliance, as well as Russia have had extensive talks in the aim of evaluating the violence of al-Nusra front in the Northern and Southern parts of Syria, where thousands of terrorist fighters are located, with qualitative arms and support from Saudi Arabia through its proxy, Jordan, as well as support from Turkey that stands behind the Idlib and Jisr al-Shogour aggression, as well as "Israel" from the other side and its escalation, especially after the qualitative operation carried out in the Shebaa operation.
Zio-Wahhabi Alliance Source of Troubles --- AD-DIYAR
Charles Ayoub wrote in Ad-Diyar newspaper that Saudi Araibia's King Salman bin Abdel Aziz is presenting a favor to Zionism through the wars the kingdom is launching. It pounded Yemen for 30 consecutive days until complete destruction because Yemen said "My Enemy is Israel and the US", and then it intervenes with its billions of dollars in Iraq to turn it into a sectarian sunni-shia conflict, and another war in Syria under the pretext of toppling president Bashar al-Assad with the aim of destroying the country and sowing sectarian strife.
The analyst also said that "no one can forget what the king said when Hizbullah abducted the "Israeli" soldiers in 2006, stating ‘what Hizbullah has done is an uncalculated adventure that should not have happened."
Such attitude, according to the article, is no surprise, especially that the Saud family with their Wahhabi thought sacrificed Palestine to the "Israelis" who have been the source of all troubles since 70 years.
The analyst concludes that the real threat in this world is the Zio-Wahhabi alliance where Saudi Arabia's policies are the source of all troubles, warning the Arabs from the calamities that might fall upon their heads.
UN Scandal of Rape ---- THE GUARDIAN
The UN is caught again in scandal as an official leaked a United Nations report, exposing the alleged abuse of young boys by its peacekeepers in the Central African Republic.
The Guardian quoted co-director of the advocacy group Aids Free World Paula Donovan as saying that this is not uncommon. She is demanding an independent commission inquiry into the UN's handling of sexual abuse by peacekeepers.
Entitled Sexual Abuse on Children by International Armed Forces and stamped "confidential" on every page, the report details the rape and sodomy of starving and homeless young boys by French peacekeeping troops who were supposed to be protecting them at a center for internally displaced people in Bangui, capital of the Central African Republic.
Donovan said "The regular sex abuse by peacekeeping personnel uncovered here and the United Nations' appalling disregard for victims are stomach-turning, but the awful truth is that this isn't uncommon. The UN's instinctive response to sexual violence in its ranks - ignore, deny, cover up, dissemble - must be subjected to a truly independent commission of inquiry with total access, top to bottom, and full subpoena power."
