Truce ahead of Hizbullah, Syrian Army’s Control over Zabdani

Hizbullah and the Syrian army on one side and the militants on the other side reached a 48-hour cease-fire in the border town of Zabadani and two other towns in the northwestern province of Idlib.
In details, the truce in Zabadani, Kafriya and Foua went into effect at 6 a.m. Wednesday.
Al-Manar TV confirmed the two-day cease-fire and said the truce comes after Hizbullah Resistance men and the Syrian troops reached the center of Zabadani.
The cease-fire came after Hizbullah and the Syrian army made major advances after six weeks of fighting. This comes as they were expected to gain full control over Zabadani "in the coming hours.
Meanwhile, five people were martyred and more than 20 wounded Wednesday as militants fired a barrage of mortar rounds on the Syrian capital of Damascus, state media reported.
The shelling targeted the neighborhoods of Kassa'a, Bab Touma, Mezze 86, Abu Rummana, the area around the Russian embassy, Mazraa, Baramka, Baghdad street, Adawi, al-Kazzaz, the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and other areas in the old city of Damascus and Umayyad Square.
State television said in a breaking news alert that "terrorists shelled residential neighborhoods in Damascus, killing a number of citizens and wounding others," without giving further details on casualties.
It also reported material damage caused the heavy rocket fire.
