Palestinian Hunger Striking Allan into Freedom

An "Israeli" prison service announced it is to free a Palestinian detainee who survived a two-month hunger strike after holding him for a year without trial.
Mohammed Allan was arrested in November 2014 and held under administrative detention, which under the "Israeli" brutal law permits imprisonment without trial for six-month periods renewable indefinitely.
Earlier in June, Allan began a two-month hunger strike that brought him near death.
An "Israeli" court suspended his detention on August 19 following his hunger strike, which twice left him in a coma. Allan's detention was then renewed in September after his health improved and he was discharged from hospital.
However, the Palestinian Resistance prisoner then resumed his hunger strike, only to call it off two days later. Later in the month, the "Israeli" army announced his detention would not be renewed and he would be released on November 4.
An "Israeli" prison service spokeswoman confirmed Allan would be released on the same date without providing further details.
He was previously imprisoned from 2006 to 2009 for allegedly "seeking to recruit self- sacrifice martyrs and aiding wanted Palestinians."
The decision to release Allan comes amid a new uprising in the Occupied Palestine which has left 68 Palestinians martyred since the start of October.
