Rouhani to Hollande: For Unity against Terrorism

Following the terrorist attacks in Paris last week, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani held a phone conversation with his French counterpart Francois Hollande, stressing unity against terrorism.
The conversation was held on Tuesday, according to what was published on Rouhani's Twitter account.
It was on November 13, that a string of coordinated attacks in and around Paris left more than 130 people dead and some 350 others injured.
Following the spate of the deadly terror attacks, planned trips by Rouhani to three European destinations, including France, were cancelled.
Many countries voiced their condemnation of the attacks, and expressions of sympathy poured in from all over the world for the French government and the people over the attacks.
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad also denounced the attacks in the French capital.
According to the Twitter post, the presidents of the Islamic Republic and France emphasized the need to unite and create a "World against Violence and Extremism," a set of proposals put forth by Rouhani at the United Nations in 2013.
