In an attempt to demonstrate the usefulness of knife-proof vests amid a wave of stabbing operations conducted against "Israeli" occupiers of Palestine, an "Israeli" Channel 1 reporter agreed to get stabbed on camera, and was actually injured, much to the embarrassment of the manufacturer.

Although the educational report was covering the knife-proof vest manufacturing test process, the experiment failed miserably as the protective body armor could not stop the cold steel blade.

However, journalist Eitam Lachover suffered only light injury to his upper back, much to the humiliation of the vest's creators, who were and are still certain of the item's safety features.

Relatively, the knife-proof vest is supposed to be a reinforced piece of body armor, worn under or over clothing that is designed to shield against a knife attack.

In a statement, the manufacturers of the vest, FMS Enterprises, said Lachover suffered the injury only because he "moved" during the take.

"The knife did not penetrate the vest. The reporter moved during the demonstration, and the ‘stabber' missed the vest. The reporter was stabbed slightly above the vest," the company added.

The company assured that its product was tested around the world and was found to meet the "most stringent standards - far beyond the stabbing ability of a human being."
