Twin Terrorist Bombings Rock Sayyeda Zainab Region: More than 30 Martyred

Local Editor
More than 30 people were martyred Sunday in a double bomb blast near the Holy shrine of Sayyeda Zeinab [PBUH], south of the Syrian capital Damascus.

Dozens more were also wounded in the blasts, one of which was caused by a car bomb.
Syrian state media also reported the explosions.
State television carried a breaking news alert reporting "two terrorist blasts, one of them a car bomb, followed by a suicide bomber... in the area of Sayyeda Zeinab."
It said there was "information about deaths and injuries," but gave no further details.
According to later reports, "ISIS" takfiri terrorist group has assumed responsibility for the twin blasts.
The foreign-sponsored militancy in Syria, which started in March 2011, has so far claimed the lives of over 260,000 people and displaced nearly half of the Arab country's population within or out of its borders.
Syrian army soldiers, backed by fighters from allied popular defense groups, have recently liberated several areas from the grips of "ISIS" and other terrorist groups operating in the Arab country.
