Zarif: Trump’s Words on Attacks Repugnant

Local Editor
Iran's foreign minister on Thursday rejected Donald Trump's statements for deadly terrorist attacks in Tehran, calling the US president's words repugnant.

Trump had said he prayed for the victims of Wednesday's attacks that were claimed by Daesh [the Arabic Acronym for the terrorist "ISIS"/"ISIL"] group, but added that "states that sponsor terrorism risk falling victim to the evil they promote."
Mohammad Javad Zarif wrote on his Twitter account: "Repugnant White House statement .... Iranian people reject such US claims of friendship."
He further stated: "Terror-sponsoring despots threaten to bring the fight to our homeland. Proxies attack what their masters despise most: the seat of democracy."
Earlier on Wednesday, two simultaneous attacks hit the parliament and Mausoleum of late Imam Khomeini in the South of the capital, martyring 12 and wounding 46.
