The former “Israeli” Occupation Forces [IOF] chief Benny Gantz delivered his campaign promise during his launch speech Tuesday night in what was equally a farewell to “Israeli” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“Thanks for your service for ten years. We’ve got it from here,” he told the current premier during the live broadcast that was met with cheering applause.

“Lengthy rule leads to corruption,” he said in a thinly veiled indictment of Netanyahu, who is embroiled in a number of corruption cases that await the attorney general’s decision on whether to indict him.

Gantz, who has reportedly vowed to impose a two-term limit on the premiership, decried the prospect of Netanyahu winning yet another term in office amid the ongoing corruption charges, declared, “The mere fact that we can have a prime minister under indictment is ridiculous”.

Reinforcing the theme of his campaign as “'Israel' before everything”, Gantz promised to replace the current “royal” government with a “stately” government that would “unite, not divide” and respects the legal establishment, press, and cultural institutions.

He spoke forcefully of protecting the “Israeli” entity’s borders, vowing never to give up the Golan Heights -- annexed by ‘Israel’ after the 1967 war in Syria in a move that was never recognized by the international community -- pledging to “strengthen settlement blocs” and ensure that al-Quds [Jerusalem] remains the entity’s “unified capital”.

He also took a moment to address the entity’s greatest foe, directly warning Iranian President Hassan Rouhani that he would 'end' any plans to surround the entity’s from north or south.

He seemed to straddle the line between left and right, prompting criticism from both sides of the aisle.

“He is the new left,” charged Culture Minister Miri Regev from Netanyahu’s right-wing Likud party, which put out a video before he finished speaking that branded  him the “weak left” and attacked his military career.
