Netanyahu: I Do Not Wage Unnecessary Wars, But All Options on Table
By Staff, Agencies
Before setting off for Moscow Thursday morning, Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave a broad-ranging interview for ‘Israeli’ radio in the final stretch of campaigning ahead of national elections Tuesday.
Addressing the precarious ceasefire in Gaza, Netanyahu touted the threat of force but vowed not to wage any unnecessary wars -- a point of contention among his right-wing base.
"I do not know if we can achieve long-term calm but one thing I know: I do not wage unnecessary wars," he told Kan Reshet Bet radio station.
But he made sure to stipulate that “all options, including entry and occupation, are still on the table.”
