IAEA: Iran’s Stocks of Nuclear Materials Still Within Limits

By Staff, Agencies
Although Iran's stocks of key nuclear materials increased, they are still within the limits set by a 2015 deal with world powers, the latest International Atomic Energy Agency report on the matter said Friday.
The report came after semi-official Fars and Tasnim news agencies reported earlier this month that Iran quadrupled its production of low-enriched uranium, citing an official in Natanz nuclear facility.
As of May 26, Iran had 125.2 metric tons of heavy water, an increase of 0.4 tons on February but still under the 130-tonne limit.
As of 20 May, Iran had 174.1 kg of enriched uranium, up from 163,8 kg in February but again well within the relevant of limit 300 kg.
Relatively, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that Tehran would enrich uranium and stop some of its commitments under the 2015 nuclear deal if the European signatories do not live up to their parts of the deal.
