House Republicans Pen Letter Supporting “Israel’s” Right to Set Own Borders
By Staff, Agencies
The US Representatives with the Republican Party sent Monday a letter supporting the “Israeli” entity’s right to set its own borders to “Israeli” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency reported.
The letter stresses that the entity has the right to “make sovereign decisions independent of outside pressure,” as well as its “right to sovereignty and defensible borders.”
The signatories, totaling 116 out of 198 GOP House members, also reaffirm the “unshakeable alliance between the United States and ‘Israel’”.
The letter, initiated by the three most senior Republicans in the Democrat-dominated lower Congress chamber – Kevin McCarthy, Steve Scalise and Liz Cheney – was sent amid the “Israeli” push for applying its sovereignty to occupied West Bank areas under US President Donald Trump's so-called “peace plan”.
The move depends on a green light from the US, with American officials reportedly set to discuss whether to grant it this week.
Earlier, a letter has been circulating among House Democrats warning the entity of the threat of the annexation.
The document had to be significantly watered down after a harsher version failed to get enough signatures due to concerns that it may affect the Representatives' election odds.
