Who’s next? Fox Business Cancels Top-Rated Lou Dobbs Tonight Show

By Staff, Agencies
US media reported on Saturday that Fox Business Network has canceled the nine-year running show of Lou Dobbs, the anchorman who has become a staunch supported of former President Donald Trump.
While the major network was tight-lipped on the reason for terminating the show, Dobbs, 75, has of late purported the view that the November election was fraudulent.
“Eight weeks from the election and we still don’t have verifiable, tangible support for the crimes that everyone knows were committed,” the Fox host asserted in January, the Guardian reported.
Fox Corporation released a statement, cited by the New York Times, saying “Plans have been in place to launch new formats as appropriate postelection, including on Fox Business. This is part of those planned changes.”
After debuting the Lou Dobbs Tonight show in 2011, the anchor became Fox Business Network’s highest-rated host.
The cancelation note arrived promptly a day after election technology company Smartmatic filed a $2.7 billion defamation lawsuit against Fox News, the NYT reported.
Dobbs, along with two colleagues Maria Bartiromo and Jeanine Pirro, was named in the lawsuit.
