Lebanon’s Coronavirus: 49 New Deaths, 2934 More Infections

Lebanon registered 49 new coronavirus deaths and 2,934 more cases Friday, as the country geared up to finally launch the vaccination campaign.
The cases were detected among 19,195 tests, with only 11 cases recorded among travelers from abroad. The positivity rate of the tests in the last two weeks stood at 20 percent.
The total number of cases since the virus was first detected in the country in late February 2020 rose to 334,086, according to the Health Ministry. The total number of fatalities stands at 3,915.
The Health Ministry said 2,302 patients were in hospital for COVID-19, with 935 in ICUs and 305 on ventilators.
