Top Iranian Commander: “Israel” to Pay for any Miscalculation

Iranian Major-General Gholam-Ali Rashid revealed that “Israel” is after igniting another war in the region, warning that the regime will indeed be paying for whatever miscalculation or wrongful step that it could take towards the Islamic Republic.

The commander of Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, which is the Iran’s topmost military institution that is tasked with coordination as well as operational planning and oversight of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic, further stated: “By inviting Iran to all-out confrontation and threatening our national security, the Zionist regime [of “Israel”] will indeed pay the price of any strategic miscalculation and measure.”

Addressing a gathering of military officials, he further added: “Tel Aviv was after causing instability and warfare in the region by provoking the United States into engaging in such a conflict and prompting bloodshed of the American forces.”

In parallel, Rashid stressed the need for Iran to preserve and enhance its defensive-security readiness.

He underlined the need to confront the enemy through the “active resistance strategy that results in defeating its ‘maximum pressure’ strategy” and stressed the importance of staging repeated annual military maneuvers.

Moreover, the top military official commended the Iranian Army and Islamic Revolution Guards [IRG]’s commanders for ordering many such exercises over the past year in line with a relevant directive by Leader of the Islamic Revolution His Eminence Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei.

Beginning late last year, the Iranian Army and the IRG staged as many as 10 military drills that enlisted the full range of their forces and huge swathes of Iran’s territory.
