Iran Attaching Importance to Practical Measures Not Words - Rouhani

The new US administration of Joe Biden is claiming that it seeks to return the table of JCPOA, however, saying words are not sufficient, what is important to Iran is actions and lifting of sanctions, said Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.
“Today, the tone of the new US administration has changed a bit and it has acknowledged over mistakes of the previous administration,” Rouhani told Wednesday’s Cabinet session.
Referring to Biden’s so-called move of rescinding Trump’s request for restoration of UN sanctions on Iran, Rouhani continued, “However, regarding the lifting of sanctions, which is our main issue, we have not yet witnessed a serious step taken by the US government.”
Criticizing the Americans’ empty promises and words in terms of JCPOA revival, he said, “They claim that they seek to return the table of JCPOA, however, words are not sufficient, we need actions.”
Addressing European signatories to JCPOA, he said, "You should know that we have been in an economic war for three years. It is Iran who has maintained JCPOA during this period."
Describing JCPOA as one of the important agreements in the political history of Iran, he stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran was the creator of the JCPOA, and also it is the only one who protects and maintains it.
Elsewhere in his remark, Rouhani hailed that today, atomic energy is being produced in the Islamic Republic and no one can claim that such measure is in violation of laws.
