Lebanon recorded 163 coronavirus cases and two deaths in the last 24 hours, the Lebanese Health Ministry said Sunday.
The aggregate number of cases recorded is 544,454 alongside a total of 7,843 deaths since the virus was first detected in the country in February 2020. Out of the new cases, 26 were identified among travelers arriving to Lebanon.
Sunday’s Health Ministry report also showed that 6,886 first-dose coronavirus vaccines had been administered, raising the total to 888,943 individuals, or 18.6% of eligible people, who have now had their first shot since the vaccination process began five months ago.
The number of first-stage vaccine jabs administered Saturday was due to the Pfizer "marathon," which invited over 50s to receive a jab.
