Trump to Sue Google, Facebook, Twitter for ’Censorship’

Former US President Donald Trump announced Wednesday that he will file class-action lawsuits against Twitter, Google and Facebook for “censorship.”
The action will also be against the CEOs of the three companies and will be filed in federal court in Florida.
Trump called the lawsuit "a very beautiful development for our freedom of speech," the BBC reported.
The former president has a turbulent history with the social media tech giants: using their platforms to reach wider audiences on his way to power and during his presidency; but then Twitter and Facebook dramatically hit him with bans following the January 6 storming of the Capitol Hill in DC.
The bans were in response to Trump’s alleged incitement to violence, and his repeated false claims that he in fact won the 2020 US presidential election, the Silicon Valley giants said at the time.
Multiple courts, state election officials and members of Trump’s own administration, examined the accusation that Joe Biden lost the election, and found there to be no credible evidence to the claim.
Legal proceedings will be launched as a class-action lawsuit, seeking restitution and punitive damages, Trump said, without specifying who the other members of the class would be.
"We are demanding an end to the shadow-banning, a stop to the silencing, and a stop to the blacklisting, banishing, and canceling that you know so well," Trump added.
