COVID-19 Lessens Biden, Congress Approval Ratings

By Staff, Agencies
The job approval of US President Joe Biden as well as congress has dropped as the country sees a spike in the number of cases despite vaccination of the majority of people.
Biden’s approval dropped to 52%, 10 points down from where he was in June.
“Overall the country has come down from its mood highs as the Delta variant is putting a crimp in America’s plan to party now and go back to work after Labor Day,” said. Mark Penn, the co-director of the Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll survey.
The number of those optimistic about the role of the US in the coronavirus pandemic has also dropped to 46% after peaking at 53 percent in June.
Most voters surveyed, 53 percent, reportedly said they believe that the US economy is strong, while 47% said it is weak.
US authorities have warned that the worst is yet to come in the COVID-19 pandemic.
Biden’s figures are still much higher than those of former President Donald Trump, who never reached a 50% score during his tenure.
