Lebanon Reports 1,532 Coronavirus Cases, 4 Deaths in 24 Hrs.

Lebanon reported 1,532 new coronavirus cases and five deaths in the last 24 hours, the Health Ministry said Wednesday.

The new numbers add to a total of 565,896 cases and 7,921 deaths since the virus first arrived in Lebanon in February last year. Out of Wednesday's cases, 59 were imported from travelers arriving into Lebanon.

The Health Ministry report also detailed that 11,215 first-stage coronavirus vaccines were administered, bringing the total number to 1,233,362 doses.

A further 16,475 second-doses were handed out, with 965,810 individuals or 20.3 percent of the eligible population now fully vaccinated in Lebanon since the rollout began six months ago.
