Iranian President Sayyed Ebrahim Raisi hailed “effective deterrence” of the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah in the face of the ‘Israeli’ enemy and Takfiri groups, saying it has turned into a successful model for other countries.

"Lebanon’s Hezbollah has succeeded in displaying effective deterrence against the Zionist enemy, Takfiri groups and, in general, overt and covert conspiracies,” Raisi said in a Friday meeting with Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem, who arrived in Tehran to attend the president’s swearing-in ceremony on Thursday.

The Iranian president added that Hezbollah has created hope in the hearts of nations to resist against enemies and thus “the enemy is trying to prevent the spread of this effective model in every possible way” by, namely, closing a number of pro-resistance media outlets.

The US Justice Department said in June it had seized 33 media websites used by the Iranian Islamic Radio and Television Union [IRTVU], as well as three of the Iraqi anti-terror Kata’ib Hezbollah group, which it said were hosted on US-owned domains in violation of sanctions.

In a televised speech on July 5, Hezbollah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said pro-resistance media outlets promote the rights of Palestinians as well as humanitarian values, condemning the US government’s decision to seize and block dozens of website domains connected to Iranian and regional networks.

Sheikh Qassem, for his part, said Hezbollah is the only group that has managed to maintain its unity and solidarity with the Lebanese people in the face of the Zionist enemy’s aggression and conspiracies.

He conveyed Sayyed Nasrallah’s greetings to Raisi and said the Lebanese resistance movement currently has an acceptable condition despite tough social difficulties thanks to the real cooperation of people.

The meeting came hours after Hezbollah unleashed rockets on the ‘Israeli’ occupation’s positions in occupied Shebaa Farms in response to the regime’s aggression on Lebanon the day before.

In a statement, Hezbollah said it hit “open fields” near Zionist positions at 11:15 a.m. local time Friday, using "dozens" of 122-caliber rockets.
