The Opposition Next Move...

The Central News Agency quoted an opposition source as saying that the move which the opposition intends to take in the near future will lead to complete paralysis in vital Lebanese services. The source added that the Lebanese Army will be responsible for preserving security. Meanwhile, the "Annashra" news site said that the opposition will hold sit-ins in Beirut's international airport and the Awkar Square (near the US embassy). The site, quoting an opposition figure said that the move will be peaceful and that it will be crowned with a nation-wide civil disobedience. The source, according to Annashra, demanded the Fouad Saniora government and whomever stands behind it to realize the dangers at this phase, "because this time the opposition is serious in carrying out its warnings to stop this government from stealing Lebanon's resources and usurping the rights of the Christians through taking over the authorities of the President of the Republic."
