Gaza resistance fighters fire rockets at Ashdod, Ashkelon, Netivot and western Negev Monday evening. One person critically injured, three others sustain serious wounds in attacks. Hamas claims responsibility for fire

One person was critically injured Monday evening and another sustained serious wounds after rockets fired from the Gaza Strip exploded in the coastal town of Ashdod north of Ashkelon shortly after 9 pm.

The Magen David Adom emergency services reported that another three people were lightly injured in the attack.

The strike illustrated Hamas' ability of launching rockets capable of reaching a range of some 25 miles.

In a separate strike in the Shaar Hanegev Regional Council two people sustained serious injuries and one was lightly hurt.

Rockets also landed in Ashkelon and Netivot Monday evening. Hamas claimed responsibility for the attacks.
