During a rally Hizbullah held in Baalbek to mark the tenth of Muharram, Hizbullah Shura Council, Sheikh Mohammed Yazbek said "today they are attempting to change history's landmarks, when they oppose what's right and ask us in all arrogance to surrender to the will of the U.S., which runs the battle in the Gaza Strip and claims that "Israel" is the victim and the aggrieved side."

He stressed that "the origin of terrorism is the U.S. and "Israel", which is destroying the entire Palestinian people because of their demand for their rights and their right to exist."

His Eminence called on the Security Council to "take a decision to stop the brutal and ugly war."
Sheikh Yazbek lauded, "the stands taken by Venezuela, the country that expelled the 'Israeli' ambassador and the Prime Minister of Turkey." He called on Arab rulers to "follow the ideals behind those stances and to work on halting the devastating war in Gaza."

He concluded by stressing that "the Islamic resistance is ready to thwart any aggression, and to defeat 'Israel' once again, the resistance will only give its people more honour and more dignity."
