Spokesman for Hamas' military wing Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Ubaidah, said his organization was still running full force and was capable of firing rockets at occupied territories for many months. Abu Ubaidah added that the organization has decided to include more "Israeli" settlements in the range of fire.
Meanwhile, Palestinian resistance fighters in the Gaza Strip resumed rocket fire on the occupied territories on Friday morning with a barrage of at least 14 rockets on the 14th day of the "Israeli" aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza and hours after the UNSC adopted resolution 1860 on the war in Gaza.
Rockets were fired at Ashdod, Askalan, Beer Sabaa and the Sha'ar Hanegev and Eshkol regional council. At least seven rockets hit the western Negev, all of them striking cities previously considered out of the range of rocket fire. Four Grad rockets exploded in open fields near Beer Sabaa early Friday morning, causing no casualties or damages.
Two more rockets struck the Askalan area minutes after the Beer Sabaa strike and another two exploded in fields outside of the settlement about half an hour later. A rocket also struck Ashdod around the time of the first two strikes on Askalan. Also, two rockets hit an open area near the Sha'ar Hanegev regional council.
Another two rockets exploded in the Eshkol Regional Council, wounding one "Israeli" settler and damaging number of buildings. About half an hour later, three more rockets struck the Negev settlement conglomeration of Sderot. Earlier, a false alarm was sounded in some of Bir Sabaa's neighborhoods as a result of a malfunction in the siren system.
At least 30 rockets struck the Negev on Thursday, leaving four settlers wounded and a number more suffering from shock. Two "Israelis" were seriously wounded from rockets which exploded in the Eshkol Regional Council.
According to figures presented Thursday evening by the "Israeli" Shin Bet security service, more than 450 rockets have been fired at "Israel" since the start of the war on Gaza. Large settlements like Ashdod, Gdera and Beer Sabaa found themselves under fire, joining Sderot, Ashkelon and other southern communities.
The blows suffered by the rocket's manufacturing and storage alignments, including the damage caused to the launching pads and launching cells, were heavy but have yet to destroy the entire alignment, the "Israeli" newspaper Yediot Ahronot reported. Resistance rockets have killed four "Israeli" settlers and wounded dozens more since the war on Gaza began on December 27.
