Fneish: Hizbullah΄s position is the same as the government΄s
Source: AFP, 14-1-2009
Hizbullah said that it remained united with the government on avoiding any new fighting, after three Katyusha rockets were fired from southern Lebanon into "Israel" on Wednesday. The volley was the second time rockets have been fired from Lebanon since the start of "Israel's" war in Gaza.
"I don't have any information about who is behind this act," said Labor Minister Mohammad Fneish, who represents Hizbullah in the cabinet.
"Our position has not changed. It is the same as the position of the government," he said.
Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah warned last week that "all possibilities" remain open regarding punishing "Israel" for its deadly assault on Gaza, which has now killed more than 1,000 people, according to Palestinian medics.
"Israeli" jets flew low over the region, while residents received pre-recorded warnings from "Israel", adding to the sense of fear.
