Hizbullah Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem reiterated on Wednesday that the Islamic Resistance party was prepared for any "Israeli" adventure, recalling that Hizbullah's deterrent force has created a "balance of terror" with the Zionist entity.

Speaking to Orange Television (OTV), Sheikh Qassem affirmed that Hizbullah's capacities to fight were enduring, saying that the party has good potential. "We have experts and trainers," his eminence emphasized.
"‘Israel' has been accusing Hizbullah of rearmament for the past two and a half years; why did it not do anything about it?" he asked.

Sheikh Qassem, meanwhile, commented on the "Israeli" deadliest aggression against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip that has claimed the lives and injured thousands of innocent civilians. His eminence noted that the Zionist entity did not achieve its objectives because plans to wipe out Hamas have failed, adding that the management of the battle was entirely under the authority of Hamas.

He noted that the first day of the "Israeli" offensive was very difficult on Hamas, but it then overcame the initial shock.
Qassem said that the confrontation between Hamas and the "Israeli" soldiers were limited, because the "Israeli" Military Forces did not enter populated neighborhoods but positioned its troops only in open areas.

Asked about the Lebanese President's "reservation" on the suspension of the so-called Arab Peace initiative launched at a 2002 Arab Summit in Beirut, Sheikh Qassem said that Hizbullah respects the President's views and opinions, "we believe that the mentioned initiative was buried after the Gaza war," his eminence stressed, adding that as long as "Israel" exists in the region, it will pose a threat to Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan, Syria, Egypt and the entire region.

"The culture of Resistance is a culture for life not death, as some parties try to claim," he concluded.
