Saheli: Gaza proved necessity of the Resistance΄s theory
22-01-2009
Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Nawwar al-Saheli told NBN television that the Arab reconciliation on the sidelines of the Arab Economic Summit in Kuwait was a first step taken to reduce tensions, hoping further steps would be taken to strengthen the reconciliation.
He said the Gaza crisis proved the Resistance's theory, which "calls for a military confrontation."
Saheli also said that Democratic Gathering bloc leader MP Walid Jumblatt would not change his mind regarding his political stances, adding the meeting between his bloc leader MP Mohammad Raad and Jumblatt might pave the way for the latter to meet with Hizbullah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah at a future date.
Saheli concluded the United States President Barack Obama might demonstrate an approach different to his predecessors in dealing with the Middle East crises.
