Aleppo University prepares for awarding Erdogan Honorary Ph.D

ALEPPO, SANA- Rector of Aleppo University Mohammed Nizar Aqil has indicated that the university has begun the academic procedures to award Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan an honorary Ph.D in international relations in appreciation of his honorable stands regarding the Arab and Islamic issues.

During a meeting with Rector of Gazi Antep University on Tuesday, Aqil expressed Aleppo University's high evaluation of Erdogan's honorable stances regarding the Arab issues, asserting that the University believes that Erdogan deserves the academic title due to his principled and humanitarian stances. In doing so, the University expresses the aspirations of the students and popular circles which highly appreciate Erdogan for his important role in presenting the Palestinian just cause and for his efforts exerted to the return of occupied Syrian Golan to its mainland and for his keenness to enhance historical ties between Syria and Turkey.

The political history of Erdogan confirms that he has established deep changes in the Turkish policy which led for social stability and steady development in economy, in addition to consolidating the regional and international role of Turkey.
