After a long period of disputes and conflicts, Arabs decided to "reconcile"...
They decided to "reconcile" and consolidate the so-called "Arab unity" against all those who achieve victory when Arabs become crumbled and divided... They decided to "reconcile" and put an end to the long sequence of deadly conflicts and wars that erupted even between the Arabs themselves... Yet, the Arabs who were always the first to pay the prices of their own conflicts, decided finally to "reconcile"...

Thus, the Saudi capital, Riyadh, is set to sponsor a mini Arab-summit, the first of its kind since the year 2005... The summit, which is expected to join leaders of Saudi Arabia, Syria, Egypt, Kuwait and probably Qatar, aims at consolidating Arab reconciliation and clearing the air ahead of the Arab Summit in Doha late this month.

According to the official SPA news agency, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his Egyptian counterpart Hosni Mubarak are to visit Riyadh on Wednesday for talks with Saudi King Abdallah bin Abdul Aziz. For his part, Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah announced he would attend the quadripartite Arab Summit.

"Bilateral relations... and ways of strengthening them in various fields in addition to regional and international issues of common concern" will be on the agenda, according to SPA.

The agenda also includes items on pushing Palestinian reconciliation forward, preparing for the summit in Qatar, and repercussions of the international arrest warrant against the Sudanese president. The leaders are hoped to bring stances closer together on main issues at play in the region ahead of the Qatar summit, which would further bolster joint Arab action.
