Source: Al-Manar TV, 17-3-2009
Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, heading a delegation, arrived in Manama, Bahrain, on Monday evening on an official visit.
Mottaki's visit to Bahrain takes place on the third leg of his tour of Asia, which already took him to Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. While in Bahrain, Mottaki will meet and hold talks with senior Bahraini officials on key regional and international subjects and other issues of mutual interest.
Meetings with Bahraini King Hamad Bin Issa al-Khalifa and Prime Minister Sheikh Khalifa Bin Salman al-Khalifa are on the agenda of Mottaki's Bahrain visit.
In Kuwait, Mottaki said that Iran and Kuwait should boost their trade volume. Mottaki further told Kuwaiti Prime Minister Naser Mohammad al-Sabah that regional states need to have consultation to draw up regional strategies to solve their problems.
The Kuwaiti prime minister said, for his part, that Iran is a big and powerful country with many facilities which can be a good backing for bilateral relations. He stressed the need for reconstruction of Gaza infrastructures ruined in "Israel's" inhuman attack.
