Lebanon Condemns ‘Israeli’ Aggression on Beirut’s Southern Suburb

By Staff, Agencies
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun condemned the "Israeli" aggression on the capital Beirut's southern suburb [Dahyieh], urging the United States and France, as guarantors of the ceasefire, to assume their responsibilities and compel "Israel" to immediately halt its attacks.
"Israel's" continued undermining of stability will escalate tensions and place the region at real risk, threatening its security and stability, Aoun's statement read.
Lebanon's Prime Minister Nawaf Salam also denounced "Israel's" continued aggression against Lebanon and the terrorizing of civilians in their homes.
Salam called on "the states sponsoring the agreement on the cessation of hostilities to take action to stop the aggressions and to expedite the 'Israeli' withdrawal from Lebanese territories."
The Lebanese Foreign Ministry condemned the "Israeli" aggression, echoing Aoun's warning of the undermining of regional peace and security, as well as Lebanon’s efforts to preserve its sovereignty, calling on mediators to pressure "Israel" to end its violations.
