Saudi FM Offers Condolences for His Iranian Counterpart: Gaza Genocide on Top of Talks

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has deplored rising insecurity in the West Asia region as a result of “Israel’s” ongoing crimes in Gaza, the occupied West Bank and its acts of aggression against Lebanon, calling for global action to cease the atrocities.
Speaking in a telephone conversation with his Saudi counterpart Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud on Monday, Araghchi stated that the international community should mobilize in order to put an end to the largest genocide of the century, which is underway in the war-devastated and besieged Gaza Strip.
A United Nations official has censured “Israel” for weaponizing aid as the occupation forces continue to block aid into the besieged Gaza Strip.
Araghchi also briefed the top Saudi diplomat on the process of indirect negotiations between Iran and the US over the peaceful nature of Tehran’s atomic activities.
The two countries have held three rounds of talks in Oman and Italy on April 12, 19 and 26 with the purpose of reaching a deal on Iran’s nuclear program and the removal of sanctions on the Islamic Republic.
For his part, the Saudi foreign minister extended deep commiserations to Iran over the tragic explosion that occurred in the country’s southwestern port city of Bandar Abbas on Saturday and killed at least 40 people and injured more than 1,000 others.
He conveyed his country’s condolences and sympathy to the bereaved families as well as the Iranian government and nation, and prayed to God for the recovery and wellbeing of the injured.
The two foreign ministers further discussed bilateral ties besides regional and international developments during the telephone conversation.
