Report: Biden Admin. Refrained from Pressuring “Israel” for Gaza Ceasefire

A new investigative report has revealed that senior officials in the former US administration under former President Joe Biden deliberately avoided pressuring the “Israeli” entity to agree to a ceasefire during its genocidal war on Gaza, even as the Palestinian death toll surged beyond 30,000—now estimated at over 52,000.
The revelations were published by Channel 13, a media outlet of the “Israeli” entity, which cited testimony from nine senior US officials. According to the report, despite the catastrophic humanitarian toll, no significant effort was made by Washington to halt the aggression.
Former “Israeli” ambassador to Washington Michael Herzog praised the Biden administration’s passive stance, stating, “God did us a favor that Biden was the president during this period... We fought in Gaza for over a year and the administration never came to us and said, ‘ceasefire now.’ It never did. And that’s not to be taken for granted.”
While former “National Security” adviser Jake Sullivan and former ambassador to “Tel Aviv” Tom Nides attempted to justify the administration’s unwavering support for the “Israeli” entity, a senior US official involved in the decision-making process described the war as “killing and destroying for the sake of killing and destroying,” emphasizing the indiscriminate nature of the attacks—most of whose victims have been women and children.
Analysts have pointed out that the Biden administration’s refusal to pressure “Israel” is consistent with its broader policy of escalating military support. In January, reports emerged of an $8 billion arms deal from the outgoing administration, which included munitions for warplanes, attack helicopters and artillery shells. In total, Washington provided the “Israeli” entity with at least $17.9 billion in military aid since the war’s outbreak on October 7, 2023.
The administration’s position has drawn harsh criticism from human rights organizations around the world, who have decried the staggering civilian casualties and the near-total destruction in Gaza.
Channel 13’s investigation also revealed that “Israeli” leaders deliberately prolonged the war, in anticipation of a more favorable policy shift under an expected Donald Trump presidency. According to the report, “Israeli” officials saw the political transition in Washington as an opportunity to further entrench their campaign and avoid international pressure for de-escalation.
