Netanyahu Mocked After Trump–Saudi Arabia Report

The Zionist writer Tal Shalev told the “Walla” news website that members of the political establishment were quick to respond to a report published earlier on Thursday.

The report stated that US President Donald Trump had announced he no longer demands that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia normalize relations with “Israel” as a condition for advancing talks on civilian nuclear cooperation.

According to Shalev, former War Minister and head of the “Yisrael Beiteinu” party, Knesset member Avigdor Lieberman, said:

“Saudi Arabia will get nuclear weapons, Hamas will receive aid, while ‘Israeli’ captives are starving. The ‘Israeli’ settlers deserve a leader who knows how to resist pressure.”

The opposition leader Yair Lapid also commented:

“For years, I have warned against a Saudi deal that includes uranium enrichment. It is inconceivable that Netanyahu remains silent while negotiations are underway for a deal that could trigger a nuclear arms race in the Middle East and potentially place nuclear capabilities in the wrong hands.”

Knesset member Meirav Ben-Ari [from the ‘Yesh Atid’ party] tweeted:

“Netanyahu's silence on a nuclear Saudi Arabia—sitting like a potted plant while Trump strengthens talks with Iran, and the ‘Israeli’ army waits for Trump to retreat before deciding how intensively to fight. ‘Israel’ has never been this weak.
