Hezbollah Condemns “Israeli” Massacre in Wadi Faara: A Dangerous Escalation Against Lebanon

Hezbollah strongly condemned the “Israeli” airstrike that led to the martyrdom of 12 civilians—Lebanese and Syrian nationals—in Wadi Faara, northern Beqaa, calling it a grave escalation and a blatant war crime.

Hezbollah issued the following statement:

Hezbollah strongly condemns the horrific massacre committed today by the Zionist enemy in the Wadi Faara area of northern Beqaa, which targeted a water well drilling rig and led to the martyrdom of twelve civilians, including seven Syrian nationals, and injured several others.

This grave attack marks a serious escalation in the ongoing aggression against Lebanon and its people. It once again affirms the criminal nature of the enemy, which holds no regard for international laws or conventions and shows no hesitation in committing massacres against innocent civilians.

This crime demands a serious, immediate and firm response from the Lebanese state and its institutions. It is imperative to break the futile silence and confront the international community—particularly the so-called guarantor states, chiefly the United States—with their responsibilities. Washington continues to evade its commitments as a guarantor of the ceasefire agreement and now undermines it through initiatives tailored solely to serve the “Israeli” enemy’s interests and security. These initiatives aim to mislead the Lebanese people into believing the US supports Lebanon’s security, unity and stability, while in truth it enables the savage Zionist enemy to wreak destruction and death across the country.

The continued absence of a strong, decisive official Lebanese stance and the failure to act internationally will only lead to further aggression and escalation. The criminal Zionist enemy seeks to break Lebanon’s will through fire and blood. But the resilient Lebanese people, who have never bowed to oppression, will only grow more steadfast and resolute in their national choice of resistance—an essential path to confront the enemy, curb its aggression and preserve Lebanon’s dignity and sovereignty.
