... And the opposition continues to announce its candidates here and there while the loyalty seems to be always hesitant in settling its "alliances"!

On Thursday, the head of the Change and Reform parliamentary bloc MP Michel Aoun announced that Telecommunications Minister Gebran Bassil and the former head of the Syndicate of Doctors Fayeq Younes would be the Free Patriotic Movement (FPM) candidates in the northern Batroun district.

The General called on the people of Batroun to assume their duties and vote for Change and Reform, noting that they are their own decision-makers for the first time since 1972.

According to Aoun, Batroun should join the path of Reform that's spreading through all Lebanese cities and regions. He also noted that the FPM electoral platform would be issued soon.

For his part, Younes said that the battle was a battle of freedom and liberty. He explained that Lebanese were urged to vote for the national opposition in order to liberate themselves from the political feudalism and to build the state of law and institutions instead of the state of tutelage and patronage. He expressed happiness for running with Minister Bassil "who's an exemplary in applying the reform project."

Minister Bassil also spoke to reporters and stressed on the need of serious work to gain the trust of the Batroun. He said that the Change and Reform bloc has raised the political reform project since the first day, hoping that his party would achieve an electoral victory that would yield to actual Change and Reform.
